Volunteers Needed for National Trails Day in the Catskills The Adirondack Mountain Club is celebrating National Trails Day in the Catskill Forest Preserve on Saturday, June 7, 2008. Volunteer trail crews led by experienced ADK leaders will spend the day maintaining sections of trail throughout the Catskills. Volunteers will meet at designated trailheads at 8:30 A.M. and work until mid afternoon. Tools will be provided by ADK. At the end of the work day, trail volunteers are welcome to join together for a well-deserved barbecue dinner including T-shirts, raffles and live music. Volunteers can also camp free at North-South Lake State camp-ground on Friday and Saturday nights. Pre-registration is required, and we ask that volunteers register at least two weeks in advance.
